First Sefer Rabbi Akiva Eiger printed!

The sefer was printed during Rabbi Akiva Eiger’s lifetime, by his sons Rabbi Shlomo Eiger Ba’al Gilyon Maharsha and Rabbi Avraham Eiger, who wrote the famous introduction to the sefer, where they quote their father’s letter regarding printing his works. “Although I don’t want to print my teshuvos, I understand your petition. However, you must fulfill my request… Make sure the sefer is printed on good paper with clear black letters, because I believe a beautifully printed safer will bring pleasure to those learning from it

The copy belonged to Feivel’s Beis Medrash in Brisk, one of the oldest shuls in Brisk, mentioned in the list of Brisker shuls in 1888. See Ha’Rav M’Brisk (Vol. 1 pg. 191).
