Handwritten Chidushei Torah of the holy Menichas Asher of Tchenger

A handwritten page of Chidushei Torah from The Tzadik and Poel Yeshuos Rabbi Aher Jungreis AB”D Tchenger the aothur of the Menichas Asher, about the halachic question of a pregnant woman eating on Yom Kippur. The page also has another handwriting that seems to be of a student. It seems like this page was used to draft answers before they were written up as letters.

1 pg. Double-sided first side handwriting of the Menichas Asher, second side unknown handwriting, probably of a student who wrote the words of the Menichas Asher.

It is well-known in the Tchenger dynasty that the handwritings of the Menichas Asher is a Segulah for Yeshuos, especially for those in need of a Refuah!

The Menichas Asher of Tchenger (1805-1874) was one of the greatest gedolim and Tzadikim in Hungary. His father was the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Ha’Levi Jungreis AB”D Csécse (Cetche), author of Toras Aidus. He was the talmid muvhak of Ha’Gaon Rabbi Koppel Charif. He fasted from Motzei Shabbos until Wednesday (Toras Yechezkel vol. 2 pg. 27). He was the son-in-law of Ha’Gaon Rabbi Meir Almasher (Popper) AB”D Mattersdorf. In 1834 he was appointed AB”d in Tchenger where he established one of the most important yeshivas in Hungary at that time. He was known as a Tzadik, and thousands came to him for advice and Brachos. Ha’Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson, author of the Shoeil U’Meishiv, sent the Menichas Asher a request to daven for him.

All the Gedolim of his generation revered him

The Rebbe Reb Meir of Premishlan commented about him: "All his tefilos are, according to the Kavanos of the Ariza”l"

The Yeitav Lev of Siget, wrote in his approbation to the sefer Menichas Asher that he was full of Chochma and Hashem should fulfill all his heart’s desires.

The first Tosher Rebbe was recognized as a po’el yeshuos after the Menichas Asher sent people in need of a yeshua to him.

Rabbi Chaim Yosef of Pistin, author of the Tosfos Chaim, and a talmid of the Kedushas Levi, commented about the Menichas Asher: "No Mekubal in Hungary can compare to him, He is an expert in all the teachings of the Ariza”l and can compare to the closest disciples of the Ba’al Shem Tov."
