Pages of Va’Yoel Moshe manuscript contains unpublished and altered sections

Two handwritten sheets from the sefer Va’Yoel Moshe from Maran Admor of Satmar zy"a differ from the printed version.

  • 1. Single paper of 10 lines, explaining why the Poskim didn’t delve into the extreme prohibition of the ‘Shalosh Shavuos’ (Three Oaths). The Rebbe asserts it was irrelevant in historical periods, such as from Bar Koziba to the Rambam, Rambam to Shabsei Tzvi, and post-Shat"z to the present. Consequently, this halacha remained unaddressed in their writings.

In the introduction of Va’Yoel Moshe on page 11 the Rebbe offers the same explanation. Notably, this handwritten page has a special significance, since it is written in a different style and language from the printed version, and includes an addendum absent in the printed version.

  • 2. Single paper of 5 lines, On the reverse side, dated 26 Shvat 5719, Florida. The notes discuss the rise of chutzpah in ‘Ikvisa D’mashicha’, and we see that the chutzpah of the Zionists increases each day and enables them to rule over the yirei Hashem. One line of unpublished text emphasizes: "There has never been such a situation in any generation".
