The first Rebbe of the Vizhnitz dynasty – "Peace and serenity may reign in his abode and wherever he turns he will succeed" –
a holy letter from the ‘Tzemach Tzadik’ from Viznitz in honor of the marriage of his granddaughter.
An extremely rare letter of invitation, nine lines with a signature by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Hager of Vizhnitz, author of ‘Tzemach Tzadik’, including his blessings for peace and tranquility in the home, and great success.
The letter was sent to the "Honoured man of wealth and kindness Rabbi Eliezer" for the celebration of the marriage of his granddaughter Chava,
the daughter of Rabbi Baruch Hager the ‘Imrei Baruch’ (the second rebbe of Viznitz), who married her cousin Rabbi Shmuel Dov Choderov of Petriva, the son of his sister Sheina Rochel and her husband Rabbi Yehoshua Elazar of Kolomea, which was intended to take place "on the 10th day of Adar A, here in Vizhnitz…"
"I would like to inform you my dear friend" he writes, "to ask you to come on the designated day to join me in my joy, and I will remember it for good in the future that peace and serenity should reign in your abode, and success in all your endeavors, and be successful in all endeavors". On which he signs his holy name: "Menachem Mendel son of the Rabbi the Tzaddik"
