CHABAD – Torah Ohr by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, Kapust 1837 – First Edition

Sefer Torah Ohr, focused on the Chumashim of Bereishis and Shemos, also delves into the significance of Chanukkah and Purim.
Edited by the Tzemach Tzedek, it was brought to print by Rabbi Aharon Alexander of Skolev son-in-law of the Mitteler Rebbe of Lubavitch.

This Sefer is one of the foundational book of Lubavitch Hasidic teachings – encompassing the doctrine and discourses of the "Ba’al HaTanya, " transcribed directly from his holy words by his brother, the esteemed Rabbi Yehuda Leib of Yaonovitch, known as the "She’erit Yehuda."

On the title page, there is the notation of
ownership by the esteemed Gaon Rabbi Shimon Menashe Chaikin (1822-1953), of blessed memory, Av Beit Din of Hebron
and rabbi of the Chabad community in Hebron for half a century. A prominent Chassid of the Mitteler Rebbe and of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch.
In his youth, he ascended to the Holy Land from Shklov, settling in Safed. Acknowledged as one of the early Chabad Hasidim to establish residence in Hebron, guided by the directive of the Mitteler Rebbe.
