The Hidden Light Revealed!—
The Holy Signature of the Author of Nezer HaKodesh on Midrash!
Reishis Chochmah, ethical teachings by Rabbi Eliyahu de Vidas, a talmid of the Ramak—Krakow, 1593.
This sefer bears the exceedingly rare signature of the heilige author of Nezer HaKodesh, penned in an elegant rabbinic script:
"
I purchased with my wealth, in honor of my Creator, to delve into with my voice, from abundance and not from poverty… The humble Avraham Yechiel Michel, son of my father and master, the distinguished Moreinu HaRav Uziel, of Kalisz. Signed today, Erev Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av, of the year 5452 (1692).”
Possibly the only known signature of his in existence!
Beyond the signature, this Reishis Chochmah was clearly used by the Nezer HaKodesh, as evidenced by a lengthy discussion referencing it in Nezer HaKodesh (Parshas Vayishlach).

The sefer Nezer HaKodesh was beloved by the great tzaddikim of Chassidus, including the Bnei Yissaschar, the Arvei Nachal, and Reb Tzadok HaKohen of Lublin.
The Divrei Yoel of Satmar was deeply attached to its teachings, referencing it hundreds of times. Many of his chiddushim and drashos are rooted in its Torah.

The Heilige Gaon & Illustrious Darshan, Rabbi Avraham Yechiel Michel ben R’ Uziel of Gluga (1630/40–1730), One of the gedolim of Ashkenaz, he served as a leading Rav in Halberstadt before moving to Vienna. He became world-renowned for his monumental sefer Nezer HaKodesh (Jasnitz, 1719) on Midrash Bereishis Rabbah. His immense prowess in halacha is evident from his haskamos and debates with the Chacham Tzvi, particularly regarding the halachic status of a mumar (She’eilos U’Teshuvos Yaavetz, vol. 1, siman 2), where the Yaavetz’s response is marked by great reverence for him.
