On the title page is the sacred
signature of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska, zt”l—one of the great Chassidic luminaries of his generation and the
Rebbe of the holy Rabbi Yeshaye of Kerestir, zt”l.
Additional inscriptions: "Hakatan Aharon Bleier", "Avraham Chaim Oppenheimer".
A Remarkable Testimony of Rabbi Menachem Ash, Av Beis Din of Ungvar
Rabbi Menachem Ash once remarked to the grandson of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska:
"Had your grandfather not become a Rebbe, he would have conquered the entire world with his sharpness!"
When these words reached Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch of Liska, he humbly responded:
"I knew this well… but what can I do? When I see an orphan walking barefoot, I must close my Gemara and find him shoes…"
