"And They Did Well and It Is Proper to Act Accordingly" – Tachanunim According to the Ashkenazi Order, Venice 1638
Tachanunim, piyutim, songs, and supplications recited by the Chevra Shomrim LeBoker Ashkenazim, Venice 1638.
This edition, highly regarded by great figures, contains the following excerpt: "…Some Jews have the custom to rise early on the day after Rosh Chodesh when it falls on a weekday, before the break of dawn, to recite the order of Shomrim LeBoker as it was printed in Venice in the year 1638. And they did well, and it is proper to act accordingly…" (Handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Formigini, Rav of Trieste, from the Genizah, Chai, p. 172).
A very rare manuscript, not found in Otzar HaChochmah!
"…As it is already clarified by Shlomo, as it is written, ‘To listen to the song and the prayer’—’Rinah’ is prayer… Even the confession order of Yom Kippur is said…" (Berakhot 31a).
