Beis Aharon First Edition – Magnificent Copy with Extra Wide Margins – Brodi 1875

Beis Aharon, chiddushim on the Torah, sayings, hanhagos, and letters by the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Aharon Perlow of Stolin-Karlin, as well as chiddushim and hanhagos from previous Rebbes of the chassidus, published by Rabbi Moshe Leib Harmelin, first edition, Brodi 1875.

This sefer is renowned as a segulah among chassidim and beyond. It is known that the great Gaon, Rabbi Boruch Ber Leibowitz of Kamenitz, instructed placing it under the pillow of a woman in labor as a segulah.

The sefer has two title pages: one brief, with the name of the sefer and its purpose, "Beis Aharon on the Torah and Avodah, " and the printer and place: "By Rabbi Moshe Leib Harmelin, Brodi 1875"; the other is more detailed.

On the title page is the stamp of the chossid, Rabbi Asher Kalmanov (father of the chossid, Rabbi Aharon Kalmanov, one of the heads of Kollel Karlin in Yerushalayim).

The author, Rabbi Aharon Perlow of Karlin (1802–1872), was the fourth Rebbe of the Karlin chassidus and one of the greatest Rebbes in Lithuania, whose influence extended even to distant Volhynia. Rabbeinu was born to his father, Rabbi Asher of Stolin, and married Rebbetzin Chava, daughter of Rabbi Mordechai of Kremenitz, who was the son of the Maggid, Rabbi Yechiel Michel of Zlotchov. After his father, the great Rosh’s, passing in 1827, Rabbeinu ascended to lead the chassidus. During his forty-five years of leadership, his influence grew immensely, and his followers numbered in the thousands. His sefer Beis Aharon is considered a foundational sefer of chassidus in general and of Karlin chassidus in particular.

Exceptionally beautiful copy with especially wide margins, bound in an elegant leather cover with the holy name of the sefer embossed. Condition: Very good, with small stains on some pages and stains on the margins of the last two pages.
