On the page before the title page, it is written by Rabbi Yosef Meir Moshe Steiner: "
From the estate of my father-in-law, the holy Gaon, Zy"a" – he was the son-in-law of the holy Gaon Rabbi Hillel Kolomeyer – this book is from his estate.

Rabbi Yosef Meir Moshe HaKohen Steiner (1881–1939) was born to Rabbi Pinchas HaKohen, Av Beis Din of Illak, author of "Bris Sholom". In his youth, he learned by the holy "Kedushas Yom Tov" of Sighet and became his distinguished student. In his prime, he was known as a prominent prodigy and was taken as a son-in-law by the holy Gaon Rabbi Hillel of Kolomeyer. In 1913, he was appointed to his father’s position as Av Beis Din of Illak. Among his works is "Apikei Yam", ten volumes (some in manuscript).
