Dorash Moshe, Drashos, Venice 1603 – First Edition
Dorash Moshe, droshos on the Torah, eulogies, and bris milah, Venice 1603 – First Edition.
The author, the great Gaon Rabbi Moshe Albilya II (16th century), was one of the leading gedolim of his generation and a master darshan. He is mentioned with reverence in the writings of his contemporaries as a gaon and Av Beis Din of Avilona. He was the grandson of Rabbi Moshe Albilya I, one of the exiles from Spain (according to Kore HaDorot). His seforim were highly respected and are mentioned with honor by the Shela HaKadosh: "The chacham Rabbi Moshe Albilya already cited in his sefer Shaarei Dimah…" (Shela, Asarah Maamaros, Maamar Chamishi). His other seforim include Olas Tamid, Shaarei Dimah, and Derash Moshe.
