"Kol HaMarbeh L’hispalel Al HaGeulah, Harei Zeh Meshubach" – Ayelet HaShachar, Mantua 1612 – First Edition

Ayelet HaShachar, a compilation of tefillos and bakashos for each day, including special times and
Yomim Tovim, prepared for a holy group of tzaddikim called Shomrim LaBoker, arranged by Rabbi Mordechai ben Barachya Reuven Yirah, Mantua 1612 – First Edition.

The printer, Rabbi Eliezer of Italy, details in his introduction the reestablishment of the Jewish printing press in Mantua. The editor, Rabbi Mordechai Yirah, was one of the rabbonim of the Jewish community in Mantua (see more about him in Erez HaLevanon, Vol. 3, p. 1510).

This sefer was printed specifically for the Chaburah of tzaddikim called Shomrim LaBoker: "..a pure and upright group… they saw fit to establish daily orders, expressing words of Torah and tefillah to the Creator before sunrise… increasing in praise and glorification of Hashem, for this is the essence of man… for whoever increases in tefillah for forgiveness and the Geulah, harei zeh meshubach.."

A rare and sacred sefer! It is noteworthy that since this sefer was printed for a specific purpose for this group of tzaddikim in Mantua, only a limited number of copies were likely produced, contributing to its rarity. Additionally, our copy was likely used by one of these holy tzaddikim, who learned and davened from it daily, morning and night.

Condition: Very good to good, with paper reinforcement and stains on the title page, newly rebound in a luxurious cover.
