Lot 97:
Siddur of Ha’kodosh Rabbi Zvi Hirsch of Kretchnif, zy”a
This leather bound Siddur Tefillah Yeshoroh belonged to the Rebbe, Ha’Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum of Kretchnif, with his handwritten signature on the flyleaf, L’Hu Tzoha"r [La’Hashem Ha’aretz U’meloah, Zvi Hirsch Rosenbaum]. His name is also engraved in gold letters on the cover.
The Rebbe used this Siddur regularly for many years, and one can sense how deeply the Rebbe prayed with fervor throughout the tear-stained pages. The pages of this Siddur absorbed the Rebbe’s devotion, especially evident in the prayers for Shabbos and Yom Tov, the tefillah of Nishmas, and zemiros, reflecting his elevated Avodas Hashem.
On the backside of the front cover, the recipient of this Siddur, Rabbi Reuvain Yakov Fried, inscribed: "I received this Siddur as a gift from the Admor Shlit"a 5753."
On the back of the Siddur, the donor inscribed his name and that of his entire family, pleading with the Rebbe to remember them in his prayers, seeking success in all endeavors.
The Siddur is in excellent condition, with widespread staining due to extensive use, and retains its original leather binding.
