A Precious Gem! – Extraordinary interesting letter of encouragement and guidance by the holy Rebbe of Tosh ZY”A – 1957
Very early letter from 1957, written fully and signed by Rabbi Meshulem Feyish Lowy of Tosh,
instructions and advice for success in
‘Avodas Hashem’.
The entire letter is written in Yiddish, on official letterhead of the Rabbi from previous years during his residence in Montreal, written on the Tuesday Parshas Dvarim, 1957, to one of his close disciples.
Initially, he informs him that he received his Kvitel and the amount of ten dollars. Then, he elaborates in 29 lines, with heartfelt words, words of morality, and guidance for Yiras Shamaim and strengthening the foundations of Chasidus, saying:
"Now I want to give you some proper advice that you should become a great Erlicher Yid." He writes many necessary instructions, such as going to the mikveh every day, studying the books of Tzadikim, praying with the Tzibur every day,
being in the presence of the Tzadikim at their Tish and prayers, giving Tzedaka L’ilui nishmas Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess, guarding one’s speech, reciting Tehilim, allocating time for Torah study, studying Mussar works, and more.
The Rabbi concludes his letter with a holy blessing:
"I am always praying for you to get everything from Hashem, and may it happen quickly that you will be successful with everything you need. Yours truly,
Meshulam Feyish Segal."
