Letter full of blessings from Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Eizik HaLevi Halberstam of Slatfina – son-in-law of the Atzei Chaim of Siget
Postcard letter handwritten and signed by the esteemed Rabbi of Slatfina, on Erev Sukkos 1939, filled with blessings, among which he writes: "May the Hashem renew upon him the coming year for good and for blessing – and may he have complete healing upon all his limbs and sinews – and may he have a life of tranquility with all his descendants, may he live a life blessed with Torah and Yiras Shamaim – and may he have contentment and all good."
Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Eizik HaLevi Halberstam of Slatfina, was the son of Rabbi Yehoshua of Dallina, and the grandson of the holy Rabbi Chaim of Sanz and Reb Eizik’l of Zidichov. He was named after them Chaim Yitzchak Eizik. He was the son-in-law of the Atzei Chaim of Siget, was a great scholar in Torah and Avodas Hashem. He ran a yeshiva where he disseminated Torah and nurtured many outstanding Talmidim. Many sought shelter under his guidance. He was closely connected to his uncle, the Rabbi of Satmar, and likewise, was admired, loved, and highly respected by him.
