A letter requesting assistance with blessings, handwritten by the holy Rabbi Chaim Boruch Halberstam of Piestik ZT"L. He was the son of the holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Piestik, grandson of the holy Rabbi David of Kshanov ZT"L, and the son-in-law of his uncle, the holy Rabbi of Shinova ZT"L.

The letter, written on the 2nd of Elul, 1937 (Tsh"z), addresses a wealthy woman in New York, asking for her help after he married off his daughter and was left with many debts. He describes his difficult situation: "I, Baruch Hashem, made the wedding of my daughter, and I am in debt, with everything encumbered, the bankers, and the lenders. It is a poor town, and I was given very little of the community’s charity."

The letter concludes with a holy blessing: "I close my writing with the blessing of a good and sealed year. The holy Chaim Boruch Halberstam of Piestik."
