Zoharei Chama, Munkacs 1881 – A Copy Saved from the Fire!
Zoharei Chama, a commentary on the Zohar, by Rabbi Avraham Galanti, edited by Rabbi Avraham Azulai, the author of Chesed Le’Avraham (the grandfather of the Chida), Munkacs 1881.
The book was first printed in Venice in the year 1650. The edition before us is the second edition, published by the holy Rabbi Yechiel Shaul of Shinova, zt"l. Later, this work was included in the larger compilation of Rabbi Azulai’s Or HaChama.
In the copy before us, Rabbi Yehzkel Shraga of Shinova writes in his introduction:
"Tremble before the blessing that has been brought to you, take it with you to your tents, and may the merit of these righteous ones protect us…".
In part 2, published in Prasymila in 1882, Rabbi Shinova writes that he is reprinting his introduction from volume 1: "This introduction was already printed in the first volume on Bereshit. However,
since many hundreds of volumes from this part were tragically burned, many buyers will not have obtained it. Therefore, I decided to reprint this introduction…"
Before us is a rare volume from this edition, saved from the great fire!
