Letter from the Holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel Taenenbaum ZT"L, Hy"D, Av Beis Din of Tarnow – Not Printed!
A handwritten letter from the holy and venerable Rabbi Menachem Mendel Taenenbaum ZT"L, Hy"D, Av Beis Din of Tarnow, dated Nissan 1934 ( תרצ"ד), spanning three pages.
On one side of the letter, there is a message to the esteemed rabbis and Torah supporters in New York, thanking them for sending him 15 dollars. He writes, "Do not regard the blessing of a layman lightly… The good Lord should bless you and your dear family with everything good."
On the other side, there is a special message from 3rd Nissan 1934 to his friend, Rabbi Abraham Shalom Friedmann, in which he blesses him: "The good Lord should strengthen him and grant him health, with joy and all the blessings for his dear family." Rabbi Taenenbaum also mentions the difficult times in his country, agreeing with Rabbi Friedmann that the times are hard in all countries, and prays that the Lord will have mercy, especially concerning matters of religion.
At the end of the letter, he praises Rabbi Abraham Faber (son-in-law of the holy Rabbi Shaul Brauch ZT"L), saying he has no business dealings and studies with the young men, with pure fear of Heaven. He also mentions his brother, Rabbi Chaim.
On the back of the letter, there are novel interpretations of the Agadah of Shabbat HaGadol, which have not yet been printed in his book!
