The title page bears the signature of Rabbi Yechiel Michel ben Rabbi Shmuel Brach AB"D Nirmad (Nirimade).

Rabbi Yechiel Michel ben Ha’Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Brach, Rabbi of Nirimad and author of ‘Zichron Shmuel, ‘ was a student of the Maharam Shick. He was known for his love of seforim and would give advance payments to help cover printing costs. Between the seforim that he paid for before their printing, one counts Elef Zeira (Bregsag 1929), Imrei Meir (1929), Bechori Rosh (Shimlau 1926), and Zehav Shava (of the Maharsha"g).
