Sefer HaBris, Zalkeva, 5607 (1807). First edition with the author’s name.

Sefer HaBris, a work blending wisdom, ethics, Kabbalah, natural science, philosophy, and medicine, by Rabbi Pinchas ben Eliyahu Horowitz of Vilna, zt"l. "And it is complete because the author added in this edition additional content beyond the first Sefer HaBris." Zalkeva, 5607 (1807).

First published anonymously by the author in 5597 (1797). After this edition, many corrupted editions were printed without the author’s permission
until the expanded edition before us, where in the second preface, the author reveals his name and expresses his grievances against the printers of Brinn, who had reprinted his book without his knowledge and in a fragmented form.

Over the years, the book has been printed in many editions and even translated into Yiddish and Ladino. It also became a source for rabbis, halachic authorities, researchers, and writers worldwide.

The "Chasam Sofer" told his students about the book: "Such a person has acquired for himself knowledge in various sciences. And I, along with you, should recognize the author’s kindness, as I have gained much time that I didn’t have to write something like this for you."

The "Pele Yoetz" mentions Sefer HaBris several times, writing about it: "Fortunate is the person who engages in its study… and indeed, it is good for a person to set aside time to study daily or at least from time to time in books that emphasize fear and love of Hashem, like Sefer HaBris and others…"

Complete, in good condition, with an old binding and slightly worn spine.
