The book Raziel HaMalach, the Kabbalistic work attributed to the angel Raziel, contains deep mystical insights, Kabbalah, and segulos (spiritual remedies). Printed in Kapust in 1800 by the famous chassidic printer Rabbi Yisrael Yafeh, the book includes several Kabbalistic illustrations throughout.
On the title page, there is an ownership inscription: "Shema Malkeinu Atiratenu, u’varech Nachalat Papyerna, " where the words combined with the surname form "Shemo’n Papyerna" (from the family of the wealthy Rabbi Shaul Papyerna of Paritch).
Another signature appears: "Shaul B’Mohr"R Nach Papyerna of Paritch.
The segula of the book is widely recognized, regarded as a tried-and-true amulet, as noted on the title page: "…a great segula, to see wise and understanding children, for success and blessing, to extinguish the fire of conflict, so it does not rule in one’s home, and no demon or evil harm will dwell in their abode. Whoever possesses this holy and revered book, concealed and hidden with their money and gold in their treasure and wealth, will find swift salvation in times of distress. And this will be testified by all Torah scholars…"
