Rare find – Igros Shomrei Emunim First Edition, with handwritten notes from the author’s son!
Sefer Shomrei Emunim, authored by Rabbi Aharon Roth, the founder of Chasidic dynasties Shomrei Emunim, Toldos Aharon, and Toldos Avraham Yitzchok, delves into the fundamentals of Jewish belief. This first edition, published anonymously in Jerusalem 1942, holds unique significance.
On the inner cover,
there is handwritten notes by the author’s son, Rabbi Avraham Chaim Roth (Ba’al Chukei Chayim), Admu"r of Shomer Emunim. He inscribes his name and family details, followed by heartfelt wishes for "brius ha’guf v’ha’nefesh v’l’yiras shomayim" (the well-being of body and soul, and a commitment to the fear of Heaven). Notably, he mentions his son Aharon (later the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe in Bnei Brak), expressing aspirations for dedication to Torah study and fear of Heaven. The notes conclude with a touching dedication "l’zikaron tov b’sefer Tzadikim."
