Rabbi Moshe Leib Armalin was a renowned scholar and printer. He was involved in opposing the Haskalah (Jewish Enlightenment) movement through the Machzikey HaDat organization in Galicia.
In 1872, he established his printing press in Brașov, where he printed numerous significant works, primarily in the Chassidic tradition.
His press was known for high-quality printing, using refined typography and attractive letter designs. He also printed works like the Tikunei Zohar (1872), Zohar Chadash (1873), and the Shulchan Aruch Rav (1878), among many others, considered to be among the best in the field.
