Tzavarei Shalal, commentary on the Haftaros, by Rabbi Chaim Yosef David Azulai (the Chida). Krakow, 1894.

On the title page appears the handwritten signature of the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Meir Shalom Rabinowitz of Kalushin:
"Meir Shalom of Garwolin, presently in Kalushin."

The holy Rebbe, Rabbi Meir Shalom Rabinowitz of Kalushin (passed away in 1903), was a grandson of the Yehudi HaKadosh of Peshischa. He was the son of Rebbe Yehoshua Asher Rabinowitz of Parczew and the eidem of his uncle, Rebbe Yaakov Tzvi of Parczew. He was a talmid of Rebbe Yitzchak of Neshchiz and Rebbe Yechezkel Shraga of Shinova. He served as Rav in Parczew, Garwolin, and Kalushin. From 1889, he also led as Rebbe, and thousands of chassidim flocked to him. He was especially renowned for his mofsim and his ability to perceive hidden matters through Ruach HaKodesh. (He himself would recount wondrous revelations that he experienced already in his youth.)

Author of Nahar Shalom on the Torah. His toldos and hanhagos were printed in Derech Tzaddikim (Piotrków, 1912).
