Sefer Chinuch Beis Yehuda was printed by the renowned Chossid, Rabbi Avraham Lieber HaKohen Troigat of Tarnow, the chosson of the author, with approbations from the tzaddikim of the generation. The holy Rav of Tzanz writes in his approbation:
“To grant an approbation on this holy sefer is entirely unnecessary, for who does not recognize the greatness and holiness of the esteemed holy author, of blessed memory, whose righteousness and brilliance are renowned across the world, and whose holiness fills the land.”
At the end of the sefer, there is an extensive list of prenumeranten from various Polish cities.
On the title page appears the signature of Rabbi Yehuda Leib HaLevi Epstein, Av Beis Din of Yelisavetgrad (see his letter in Shivas Tzion, p. 33).
The holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Yaakov Tzvi Yalish ZT”L (1748–1825), was among the leading talmidim of the Chozeh of Lublin, Rebbe Mendel of Rimanov, and the Maggid of Kozhnitz. He served as Av Beis Din in Dinov and Glogow, and was later interred in Rzeszow. He authored numerous sfarim on shmu’ata, Kabbalah, and Chassidus, and is best known for his monumental sefer, Malei HaRo’im.
