Pardes David – Zulzbach, 1786 – First Edition

Book: Pardes David, sermons on the weekly Torah portions, with interpretations in the plain meaning, aggadah, and scholarly analysis by Rabbi David Dishvach. The book includes innovations from his son-in-law Rabbi Yaakov Schwabach, the rabbi of the Schwarzwald communities, and from the author’s grandson, Rabbi Moshe ben Rabbi Yaakov Shmuel.

At the end of the book, there is a farewell sermon by the author to the community of Metz, as well as a rhymed poem with an acrostic of the scribe’s name and the book’s title. Published by Rabbi Aharon and his son Rabbi Ze’kel, first edition, Zulzbach, 1786.
