הגאון רבי משה זבולון מרגליות (תרי"א – תרצ"ו) מחשובי הרבנים באמעריקע בתקופתו, תלמידו המובהק של רבי יצחק אלחנן ספעקטאר, בצעירותו כיהן כאב"ד סלאבאדקא, לאחר י"ב שנה כרב שם היגר לארה"ב, שם כיהן כרב בקהילות שונות, עד שבשנת תרמ"ט התמנה ל'רב הכולל' של העיר באסטאן. בשנת תרס"ו נקרא לכהן פאר כרב קהילת 'עדת ישורון' בניו יארק, שהיתה אחת מהקהילות החשובות ביותר דאז, עם למעלה מאלף בתי אב. במגביל כיהן רמ"ז כנשיאים של מפעלי חסד וישיבות רבים.
